PILATES CAN TIP!
Build whole of body posture, strength, and mobility.
Claire explains in this shoulder rehabilitation workshop video, how we can be more effective for shoulder rehabilitation by building strength, mobility and good posture in the rest of our body.
Claire takes our focus down to our feet and hips, not just shoulders, because nothing in our body works in isolation.
“If we've got a problem with our foot or our shoulder, it's going to affect somewhere else in your body as well. This is why, at Pilates Can we're always looking to address the full body”, says Claire.
Claire demonstrates a set of simple exercises, using two balls, that challenge balance and posture for the entire body. Claire also shows how to use other props, in this case a broom handle, to assist you with mastering this exercise if at first it is a little too challenging.
Using the skeleton, Claire shows how the shoulder joint works and how our muscles are overworking if we do not have our bones in the optimal position. Conversely if we have great posture, we feel lighter, and our muscles have much less work to do.
Claire explains in the shoulder rehabilitation workshop video, that all these little things together, including fascial release, make a huge difference.
